Flight Facilities: Clair De Lune

Flight facilities

Rumors have been floating around that Aussie duo, Flight Facilities, are coming out with some new material just in time for summer. Well, its getting warm, and I’m getting anxious.

The indie/electronic dance sounds are the work of Hugo Gruzman and James “Jimmy” Lyell – formerly Hugo & Jimmy, before assuming the alias of Flight Facilities. The two are know around Australia for remixes to the likes of Bagraiders, Daft Punk, and Sneaky Sound System which are most heavily played in the club circuit. Trendland featured them back in 2010 with the release of their first original track “Crave You” featuring Giselle Rosselli – which still remains one of my top favorites by this talented duo.

Most recently, I’ve stumbled upon “Clair De Lune” – a beautiful and melodic electro ballet featuring vocals from Christine Hoberg. I’m firstly captured by the intro of the catch-and-release base which echos throughout the song. The vocals are innocent, the message is pure – yet the song is danceable and playable across multiple platforms. For those of you in LA next weekend, Flight Facilites will be performing at Lure in Hollywood – it’s a small venue and a show not to be missed!
