French producer/DJ Brodinski last week released a fine remix of Woodkid’s “I Love You”, one of our favorite tracks (and videos) of the year.
Brodinski, who’s broad musical taste ranges from noisy techno to bass heavy house, kept the lead of the track and added in piano chords, slow sirens, percussive shakes and a kicking beat, and took down the tempo for some trap sequences in the emotional track. I have been listening to it nonstop. On a related note, if you haven’t yet picked Woodkid’s debut album, The Golden Age, I definitely recommend it. Epic, cinematic pop is an understatement.
