Tropico

Trópico Festival: Celebrating Music, Life, and Sunsets [Thomass Jackson Mixtape]

Built among friends with common dreams and love for good music, Trópico Festival is a 3-day music event that takes place in the Pacific coast of Mexico, in the pristine beaches of Acapulco.

Acapulco’s reputation as a top destination has seen some highs and lows. After a period of uncertainty and stagnation, it seems like the city’s revival is very much present. Trópico is a key component in that revival phase, bringing some of the greatest talents in the world together to celebrate all the best Mexico has to offer. Enjoy sunsets, sunrises, beach parties, and a unique cultural vibe all while experiencing a carefully curated set of bands and Dj’s perform some of the most innovative music of today.

With headliners such as The Atomic Bomb – Who is William Onyeabor feat David Byrne, DJ Harvey, Museum of Love, Pachanga Boys, and more, Trópico promises to set the tone for a smaller, more inclusive festival that highlights temporary projects such as Darkside, which headlined last year, and celebrates collaborations and new styles.

From December 5-7 you can forget about the weather and join in this celebration of music, culture, dance, and mind expansion in Acapulco.

To get you in the mood, Mexico-based producer Thomass Jackson has created an exclusive mixtape for Trendland. As a prominent figure in the music scene of Mexico City, Jackson’s produces eclectic tracks ranging from disco to techno and house. He is also headlining this year’s Tropico, don’t miss out.
