FILTER’s Culture Collide landed in Los Angeles’ art and music factory, Echo Park last week. With it came four days of performances by stage veterans like Of Montreal and The Wombats, and already beloved newcomers including Niki & the Dove (Sweden), Gold Fields (Australia), Half Moon Run (Canada), The Standards (Thailand), The Balconies (Canada), Morning Parade (UK), and Marit Larsen (Norway)–among many others from all around the world.

Shuffling feet and regaled crowds exiting one show to be guided by the faint music of another show just next door: the music never ended. And while we were running between The Echo, Echoplex, and Taix, bands were backstage preparing to equip us with dancing melodies, we also asked Of Montreal to give us a sneak peek of their Culture Collide experience.
