Sky Ferreira has established herself not only as a pop songstress but one of fashion’s youngest and edgiest muses as well. Her music, just like her fashion sense, looks to the past yielding an 80’s infused sound that has very much defined her in a particular light.
Music has the amazing intrinsic capacity to be quite easily and readily molded and re-molded— and in turn it allows the listener to re-imagine an artist in a completely different light. I am of course referring to the art of remixing. Here are three remixes of Sky’s “Everything Is Embarassing” and “You’re The One” by three completely different artists in Cid Rim, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and MK that re-imagine her sound and style.
