New music from the dynamic duo Just Friends, a collaborative effort between Nicolas Jaar and yes, Steven Spielberg’s daughter Sasha Spielberg. The two bring us another delightful track “Don’t Tell Me” via Other People to follow up their previous release, a cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Avalanche”.
Nicolas Jaar is up to his old tricks that seem to never get old in his subtly ever-evolving sound and Sasha’s unfamiliar voice cuts through perfectly with a vulnerability that is as catchy as the hook she repeats “Don’t tell me everything about it” leaving some things unsaid and allowing for the brilliantly morphing beat to speak for itself.
