Manjit Thapp is a Birmingham-based illustrator and a Camberwell College of Art graduate with a flair for Wes Anderson’s movies. Her new zine celebrates iconic female heroines from director’s famous films such as The Royal Tenenbaums and Moonrise Kingdom.
One thing we particularly love about Thapp’s art is great attention to detail that brings the characters to life. Her technique involves sketching with a pencil and finishing the rest of the work in Photoshop. Mixing traditional and digital media, the illustrator proves the everlasting allure of Anderson’s films and presents one more, artistic reinterpretation of popular culture.
