Maison Martin Margiela for H&M Campaign

Margiela for HM

Out now are the campaign shots of the highly anticipated collaboration of Maison Martin Margiela x H&M, photographed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, formerly Wood, shot in the streets of Paris with help by creative director Markus Kiersztan.  If this campaign doesn’t have you lusting after this careful edit of re-editioned pieces, I don’t know what will.  Each garment will be labelled detailing the year and season of origin.  As the Margiela house states,  “We are very happy to present MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA pieces with H&M, offering a new interpretation of our vision. The democracy of our fashion has always been at the centre of our creativity, and the collaboration with H&M allows us to push this instinct further. We will bring together the contrasting universes of the two houses in ways that will surprise all.”

Pushing boundaries and re-defining shapes and volume through deconstruction has been the core of this truly independent brand, and I, for one cannot wait to jump in and purchase these pieces, a gift from a company that really talks the talk and walks the walk.
