Kaskade and Deadmau5 : Move For Me

For some reason House music, until somewhat recently, had never really penetrated my musical sphere. Conceivably it was because the majority of house music that I had been exposed to I found to be overly repetitive and lacking any real appeal aside from the obvious trance-like effect it takes on when under the influence of drugs(everyone knows that). In the past couple years I have definitely opened my mind to the genre as a whole. I recently got the chance to see San Francisco based DJ Kaskade(Ryan Raddon) and was blown away by his set.  The track “Move For Me” is a collaboration between Kaskade and Toronto native Deadmua5 (Joel Thomas Zimmerman ), two of the most illuminating names in house music. I think it perfectly reflects the potential that house music has to not only move you physically but also on an emotional level with it’s climactic progressions and infectious vocals. The production is top notch and in the right mood and surrounding the potency is infinite. But don’t take my word for it, both Kaskade and Deadmau5 will be performing at Coachella in approximately two weeks from now so if you get the chance you should definitely discover their appeal for yourself.
