Some more magic from beat wizard Jamie xx emerged today. The track entitled “Girl” which will be released on his forthcoming 12″ via XL may not be your orthodox “hit” but nonetheless it is very characteristic Jamie, just straying a bit from the off-beat step that he usually puts one forward with, and as usual there is no limit to how many times you can play it. Something that in my books is perhaps more valuable to music in the long run than a clear cut hit.
