In the words of G-Eazy (aka Gerald Earl Gillum), “If you don’t know by now, you should probably get familiar.” The white boy rapper and producer is straight out of Oakland, CA and has the swagger to prove it. Sampling doo-wop, the 23 year old experiments with versatile pieces to his cool, hip hop puzzle. Right out of college, he had already supported A$AP Rocky and been included in Van’s Warped Tour. Now, as a follow up to his 50’s styled Endless Summer mix-tape last year, the busy letterman jacket-wearing fella is about to release his new album Must Be Nice set to drop September 26th.
With a bratty rap voice and catchy pop progressions, G-Eazy keeps a carefree and upbeat tone to his tracks in the vein of Big Sean and Andre Nickatina–and, we can’t wait to hear what fun comes next. Take a sneak peek of his latest project with the confidently cocky track, “Lady Killers” featuring ‘Excellent Adventure Tour’ buddy, Hoodie Allen.
