New Zealand–based artist Devyn Ormsby created this stunning project called ‘Devon Made’, a range of gorgeous lifelike glass fruit creations casted in crystal glass using a lost wax process. Through the process of glass casting techniques, Devyn pays homage to the blown glass fruit makers and collectors from the 1960’s. The perfectly translucent banana, pear, mandarin, and lemon likenesses in cobalt, lime, citrine, pink, and clear has attracted our attention.
We’ve been covering decorative fruits for a while now, but strangely enough, never in crystal or glass. We love them!
These objects are intended to provoke the senses and occupy a space where time may be kinder to them.
