What did you do for your twenty fourth birthday? Release a remix for “Drunk In Love”? That is what Abel Tesfaye aka The Weeknd did. The Canadian talent released an online remix of Beyonce’s latest hit, under his label XO.

Now that many artists, such as Kanye and Diplo, have remixed the infamous song, what is interesting about The Weeknd’s rendition is that he not only remixed it, but he also changed the lyrics into explicit content, mainly describing his own experiences and career.
His cover comes in that typical silky R&B style which some would say Abel has pioneered and brought to the forefront of the musical world. He adds his own smooth lyrical vibe to it, with a slight change of melody.
