Animal Collective: Today’s Supernatural

Todays Supernatural

      1. Today’s Supernatural

After 3 years of studio boycott, the four Baltimore freaks from Animal Collective come back with the follow-up to 2009’s Merriweather Post Pavilion, entitled Centipede Hz.

Needless to say, the album released September 4th on Domino Records, is one of the most awaited albums of this fall. Still faithful to their heated and beefy electro habits, Noah Lennox and his mates go back to their original well-built sense of borderline melodies and jagged vocals. The first result is the curiously efficient edgy first single “Today’s Supernatural,” which foreshadows the many good things to discover on the opus.

Absolutely take some time to check out the song’s psychedelic video clip (above) by Danny Perez, featuring a very strange colored Avey Tare skeleton. Yes, fortunately for us, the guys from Animal Collective still have a few twisted ideas in store that should keep them going for quite some time.
