A very actual series by French photographer Axel Corjon with ongoing series, “Alone in the Night”. We love how Axel captures beautiful long-exposure photos of everyday scenes in Paris and large cities in the middle of the night.
“I love shooting late at night. It’s always a special moment, it’s off time. People are mostly sleeping, making the night hours somehow unreal.”
“People are making these hours vanish, I embrace them. It’s also very disturbing to discover the streets at night. The light and colors are always changing due to artificial light sources (cars, reflection, traffic lights, etc…) and make even the most known places look different. Also, you cannot see very far, therefore you create this scary feeling where you never know what’s near you. It triggers something primal that force you to be more aware of your surroundings.”
