American artist Bryan Nash Gill is known for his work on wood in the form of prints and sculptures. In a fingerprint like manner, Gill captures the unique characteristics of the tree’s imprint, giving us a looks into the tree’s personality and essence. His prints reveal the happy springs, the hard winters, the constancy of change. Each print is named accordingly, as to give us insight on where the tree comes from and its aesthetic qualities. Through his art, we can understand nature on a human level.
