Vincent Fecteau: Incongruous Forms

Vincent Fecteau is known for carefully handcrafting modestly-sized sculptures from everyday materials such as rubber bands, paper clips, seashells, and string, often incorporating these things into papier-mâché or foamcore structures.

With their incongruous forms, unnerving color schemes and various other unsettling elements, Fecteau’s meticulously made sculptures belie the many formal decisions made by the artist in completing each work.
