Urban Survival Pack

New Zealand based multi-disciplinary designer, Ryan Ramones has created the Urban Survival Pack as an educational tool to teach children about the connection between agriculture and survival.
The 20cm square kit is constructed of acrylic and Orientated Strand Board to ensure it is waterproof and child-friendly.

Contained within the pack are 12 cardboard tubes that contain emergency equipment, gardening utensils, seeds and seed raising mixture. The design of the kit is not only innovative and well-considered but highly intuitive.

Ramones shares that it’s “tactility and playful shapes invites the users to engage with the device whilst learning through play”. The kit is not just for the kids, but equally as fun for the ‘kidults’ too!
