February 2014 the Directorate of Police and Criminal Police of Norway invited the market to a design competition for a new passport outlook.
The purpose was to find a unique concept which would be appropriate and functional.
Only a month after launching the new design of Norwegian cash notes with Snøhetta, Neue Design Studio did again deliver a spot-on proposal for the passports which are highlighting the Norwegian Landscape. Nature is a key factor for the design as it’s a reflection of what makes the identity of the country, and the jury especially pointed out the simplicity of the solution, and the timeless design will ensure they are of high-value in the future.
