In this design concept by Linde Hermans the material serves as a base to create objects. The material, used in its pure form and always in the same standard size (A4), has a function. Each function depends on the kind of material used. This design concept is a reaction to our ‘material world’ where every object exists in over a thousand forms. It’s an exercise in simplicity and austerity.
A database of materials evolves from the use of different kinds of matter, which emphasizes the importance of Matter.
