The Garden of MUJI Materials

Brooklyn-based studio Ladies & Gentlemen Studio has investigated 10 years of MUJI’s presence in the United States to design an installation that would pay tribute to brand’s aesthetics and ethos. It was created as a landscape, consisting of multiple vignettes, showcasing MUJI’s most popular and appreciated products – from ceramics to glassware.

The vignettes appeared as small isles and were connected with stone pathways reminiscent of Japanese gardens. The studio has also studied the materials used to create the products and incorporated raw matter in the installation. The project successfully reflects the minimalist MUJI spirit that praises simple objects with a soul.
