Snow Art by Simon Beck is not only season-appropriate (though it is), it’s just downright amazing. Huge in scale and done in a medium that, well, melts, a slew of questions pop up when feasting your eyes on Simon’s work: Where is this? How come I haven’t seen this yet? How does he do it?
Simon is actually an orienteering mapmaker from Southern England. Although without an official website, he provides all the answers on his very honest, very photo-heavy Facebook page.
“Most of this activity takes place in the ski resort of Les Arcs, where I own an apartment and spend most of the winter. On average they take about 10 hours to really do it properly, some are a little unfinished, if my feet get cold or hurt too much.”
