A complete showcase of Studio Bouroullec works is now present at the Parisian museum Les Arts Decoratifs under the title of ‘Momentané’. Starting from the Nave, the vast space housing the exhibition, visitors immerse themselves in the work of Bouroullec brothers, since they designed the scenography and the set-up of the retrospective, it’s like a gigantic installation including both the spatial aspect of their projects, and the more intimate quality of the objects.
Their ideas have been defined ‘poetic practicality‘ for being not just a simple response to the utility and functionality of the design, but also recognized by the modularity that allows an infinite variety of solutions and customization. Memorable works on display include the “Clouds” project, and the “Textile field” (originally installed at the Victoria and Albert Museum in 2011), both in association with Danish company Kvadrat.
