Frederik Vercruysse: Delicacy and Symmetry

Legendary Belgian photographer Frederik Vercruysse is known for his architectural approach to photography.

Always interested in shapes and spaces, he always captures objects and compositions in a perfect balance. Document Journal has approached the photographer to capture the delicacies of historic Brussels chocolatier “Mary”. The result is this deliciously creative series of images. The images feature the photographer’s classic and clean style and the gorgeous setting is due to Athos Burez’s talent. With hand-made and hand-decorated chocolates and pralines, “Mary’s” essence of quality and perfection are properly represented by Vercruysse’s eye.
