Mathieu River’s Interactive Landscapes

Mathieu River from ECAL University in Switzerland came out with a project called Light Form, a sculpture that explores different forms of representation and interactions using a solid uneven display. The structure is built on a plinth and inside there is an integrated projector and infra red sensing in order to display content. The structure was made from heat welded semi transparent plastic. which allows for a certain amount of transparency for projection as well as the detection of fingers. This kind of sculpture relies on both form, software, and light to create a sensory interaction with the viewers, a really unique and modern direction for sculpture in a world where technology rules.
