We have been working with designer Marieka Ratsma to animate the re-creation of designer Phoebe Philo’s colorblock prints for Céline’s Fall 12 collection. Using the sporty chic over-sized sweater as well as the cocoon-shaped coat from the collection, Marieka animated the geometric colorblock print in the form of a gif. We have been a huge fan of her work for years and wanted to collaborate with her to create these ultra-chic runway print animations.
Marieka Ratsma is an emerging shoe designer with a love for concept and image making, along with a passion for developing products with a visionary appeal. Marieka first began her studies in The Netherlands studying Communication & Media. After completing her Bachelor’s she decided to pursue her passion for art and design. She began studying Fashion Design at the Utrecht School of Arts, this is where she first discovered her love for product development and design. Her work has an innovative and avant-garde vibe, which is always pushed to extremes on some level.
