There’s a reason Jil Sander is known for its sophistication and tailoring. Actually, a lot of reasons, and they can all be seen on the runway in the label’s S/S 2012 collection.
Each outfit was a perfect mix of controlled cuts and sharp silhouettes, constructed into prim and proper pieces. With a lot of whites, blacks, and the more traditional prints of paisley and plaid, a few fun and modern touches were added with Picasso-esque printed tops and a full-skirted gown that punctuated the collection (shown just below).
What really caught my attention were the opening looks featuring glorified 40’s inspired nurses uniforms – remixed. If nurses looked like this in real life today hospital visits would be a much more anticipated outing!
