Each year, the Central Saint Martins College holds a runway show to showcase the work and talent of its BA design students. The collections this season highlighted silhouette and texture, and the designers played with voluminous proportions and impractical yet artful accessories.
The prestigious show often attracts an elite audience. This year, Phoebe Philo was in attendance and presented the night’s prize to young womenswear designer Mao Usami, whose “too long” socks and layered sportswear basics stood out from the nearly 300 looks shown.
