Heatwave by Paloma Rincon

Madrid-based photographer Paloma Rincon likes to mix languages and techniques when creating images. A still-life expert, Rincon uses products, props, and sometimes people to create a unique point of view in her work.In the series “Heatwave”, she focuses on summer imagery, using pineapples and pools to cacti and crisp cabbage slices to give viewers a taste of summer. Playing with reality, she integrates the virtual and the real worlds in a totally natural fashion erasing the boundaries of tactile and digital. Her dynamic still life photographs combine an accurate use of technique and the creativity of a craftsman.
