Dutch photographer Erik Klein Wolterink photographed the interiors of kitchen for this series of photographs, the subject of his new book, Kitchen Portraits. Shooting each cabinet, oven, fridges, and drawers individually, he then pieced them together in these compositions, the results serving quite like windows into souls of the generous few who let Wolterink into their homes. Based on much of the imagery we have seen over the last few years, we have come to expect a good amount of knolling amongst all our things organized neatly, and although in reality things sometimes tend towards the opposite, this series shows us all the more poignant reality can be.
