Creative agencies and creatives in general often neglect their own personal branding and appearance as a result of putting everything they have into client work.
It is always refreshing to see an agency build their own identity or rebrand themselves after a decade. This is the case with Dalziel & Pow’s bold, expressive and playful recent rebrand that relies on an eclectic palette of bright and abstract painterly patterns contrasting with bold geometric shapes.
They created a new logo replacing the ‘+’ for a friendlier ampersand, and introduced a serif typeface for a more editorial feel across their collateral. Most importantly, the core concept of ‘Created by us’ is about everyone at the agency making their mark on the branding. This means the assets will be continually evolved in-house, updating color and pattern seasonally. We are seeing a lot more of this transient branding model in agencies recently, allowing them to stay more relevant and not tied solely to one set of image or style.
