Cold Picnic’s Rugs Inspired by a 1975 Film

Brooklyn-based Cold Picnic is a home accessories brand founded in 2010 by Phoebe Sung and Peter Buer who has no limit to their creativity. From hand knotted wall hangings to raw jewelry, their handmade rugs are also colorful abstract compositions. Taking inspiration from their favorite movie of Michelangelo Antonioni ‘The Passenger’ released in 1975, Sung and Buer have extracted fragments of scenes to transpose them into their relief rugs. Stay tuned for larger versions coming in summer!
