It isn’t often that we see books take on other forms, outside what they represent in the daily lives of readers.
However, Andrew Hayes has his own unique view on the subject and material, seeing books as seductive and worthy of exploration. As an artist, he is attracted to the pages’ form, surface and texture which helps him achieve an incredible new storyline- the book as a sculpture. His sculptures feature not only book pages but also steel, paint, and bronze.
