Leading Lights with Apparatus Studio / A Modern Approach To Classic Lighting By Apparatus / Apparatus Introduces New Lighting Series / Lighting Fixtures That Fuse Sculptural Form With Hand-worn Materials / An Enlightened Collection From Apparatus
With a warm and unpretentious approach to Modernism, Apparatus seems to have one bright idea after another. Jeremy Anderson and Gabriel Hendifar, the duo behind the New-York based design studio, introduce new lighting series, CIRCUIT and TASSLE.
The CIRCUIT series plays on concepts of rhythm and layerings, creating a pattern with the repetition of pure shapes. The TASSLE series brings forth unique ornamental and decorative elements to the studio’s existing collection. It condenses the warmth and decadence of a traditional chandelier to a concise, modern conclusion. The studio is also introducing a new addition to it’s PORTAL furniture series. The PORTAL tables in marble, add gravity and permanence to the design and connect the proportions of ancient structure to daily experience, linking ceremonial and domestic ritual.
Well known for working with aged brass, etched glass, leather, marble and porcelain and for designing an interplay between movement, shape and materials, Apparatus’ latest products reflect the brand’s inspired and modern approach to classic forms and functions.
