Turkish photographer Aydin Büyüktas uses a drone and 3D software to build those astounding cityscapes. As science fiction lover, he takes inspiration from Edwin Abbott’s book titled ‘Flatland: A romance of many dimensions’, a story of a two-dimensional world occupied by spheres shapes.
To create the series, Büyüktas made a 3D simulation of the city to find his camera positions. Then he deployed the drone to get the exact shots he’s mapped. Plunged into the heart of a surrealist warped world in Istanbul and USA, where stretching scenes is rising up, Paris isn’t anymore the only city touched by Christopher Nolan’s ‘Inception’ phenomenon. We love it!
