any of you can probably relate to our obsession with statistics. there is an ongoing unspoken competition in our office for who gets the most views on their posts, so we decided to materialize this obsession into a ‘Weekly Viral Report’ that includes the top post on Trendland.com, the most repined images from our Pinterest, the most liked photos on our Facebook and Instagram.
This week’s most repinned image on TL’s Pinterest is Sarah Illenberger’s ‘Meloncholie’. Sarah Illenberger is a Berlin-based artist whose meticulously-crafted work caught the eye of Trendland. She uses simple household items such as paper, food, textiles and wood to create vivid 3D illustrations and set designs. Here she has taken something as simple as a seedless watermelon and represented it as if the seeds were literately raining out of the watermelon.
