Tom Ford F/W 2013-14

TOMFORDFW

Tom Ford was an eagerly awaited show this year at LFW and a show is what he gave. It was obvious this collection was pushing the boundaries of Tom Ford’s usual persona of clean cut tailoring and muted tones we have seen in previous seasons. The collection consisted of folk inspired geometrics and lace overlays that had been broken up with block color, giving this show a gyspy folk gone psychedelic feeling. Such a massive change from the norm at the Tom Ford Empire, suggesting Ford is shunning the catwalk cliques and creating a multi-cultural expression this fall. With a back drop of the aristocratic Lancaster House, the brands English heritage was displayed in full glory, elevating Tom Ford to his royal status at London Fashion Week this year, and giving us a dramatic glimpse of what is in store for the following seasons.
