Artist Emily Barletta’s makes her marks using a needle. Her meticulously embroidered thread on paper works remind us that there is beauty in repetition. I am certain the embroidering process of these works is a kind of meditation for her, I only wonder what she is thinking about when creating these graphic representations. What looks like a circle or a square made of small line markings to us probably has a very different appearance to her.
