The exclusive Oetker Collection hotel group, which includes sought after jet set destinations including Le Bristol in Paris and Hôtel du Cap-Eden Roc along the French Riviera, has just added a new member to its five-star empire.
L’Apogée Courchevel is located on the very top of the former Olympic ski jump, with a clear view all the way down the valley. It takes a staff of 170 to cater to just 53 rooms.
In the quietest weeks of the winter you still have to be quite lucky to score 1 of 5 rooms that sell at €900 a night, but those are truly outliers in the scheme of it all. Otherwise rooms go from €1800 to €6200 a night. The hotel hopes to achieve €2500 a night on average, not including breakfast.
The hotel boasts plenty of little luxuries to justify its price tag including a caviar bar, meals prepared by a two-Michelin-starred chef Franck Ferigutti, a Russian bath suite in the spa, and a private conveyor belt to deliver guests back from the ski slopes, to name a few.
