Housed atop a hill in the center of Lisbon, Santa Clara 1728 which belong to hotelier João Rodrigues, is one of the most romantic and quiet place of the city, surrounded by monuments and a park offering a breathtaking view of the river.
Local architect Manuel Aires Mateus has transformed a 18th century building into a charming design-led hotel with only six suites, letting both intimacy and conviviality take hold of the neutral setting. When going down the limestones stairs, a duck egg blue linen sofa stands alongside tremendous Baroque paintings, under the warm light of fabulous Davide Groppi’s moon.
