Artist Daniel Buren’s black and white stripes inspired the latest collection from Roland Mouret, who gave his own spin on the season’s monochrome trend with splashy stripes for Spring/Summer 2014. Bold hues like cobalt blue, fuscia and yellow worked their way into the mix as well on refreshingly sporty ensembles of crop tops, slim trousers, as well as signature tailored sheaths. The post-modern 80s had a big moment this fashion month and Mouret’s patch working and color blocking stood out.
