Reversed Volumes is a clever series designed by Katharina Mischer and Thomas Traxler. Their Vienna based design studio, Mischer Traxler, has a light hearted approach when it comes to food.
Staple fruits and veggies are cast in resin and cut in half to reveal their true properties. From the intricate lace-like pattern of cauliflower, to the soft dimples of an orange, these lovely textures and shapes make for very creative kitchen accessories. The muted color palette they designers chose makes the subtle nuances of each ingredient stand out all the more. Cantaloupe bowls anyone? — yes please!
