Every culture has their staple ball of dough recipe, usually embedded in a persons palate from childhood visits to grandma’s house. Whether it is pan de queso, a donut whole, Jin deui, or the this southern Pimento Cheese & Thyme Gougeres they all share one common factor; comfort.
As I was reading this recipe could feel the scent of thyme steaming out from the gougeres as I imagined splitting it in my two hands, fresh out of the oven, and just before taking that first bite.
COOK TIME : 45 MINUTES
½ cup (1 stick) of unsalted butter, cut into cubes
¾ teaspoon of kosher salt
1 ¼ cups of all-purpose flour
