In 1996, Paco Ramos, the owner of Mr Frank, began traveling the world in search of inspiration he could bring to Madrid. Seeking various types of interiors and tastes, Ramos traveled to Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Greece, the Caribbean Islands, South America, Chicago, New York, Atlanta (among other places).With the help of interior designers Alejandra y Patricia Pombo, Ramos created a two story restaurant offering two distinct dining experiences. A homey yet rustic design is featured on the top floor, which caters to lunch, dinner and wine…lots and lots of wine! Throughout the bottom floor of the restaurant, a surreal cave brings in warm natural light reminiscent of the Mediterranean, accented by wood around the restaurant. (Which pays homage to over 150 years of history in Madrid.) Mr Frank aims to be more than just a restaurant; more like an experience, and an unforgettable one at that. Surrounded by a layered brick design, attention to detail is paid to balance each desired mood for the diners. As the first restaurant within the Frank Food Management Group, Mr Frank has evolved into a space in which guests can experience Spanish products with excitement, all while enjoying true authentic cuisine.
