Earlier this week, Marios Schwab’sFall Winter 2013-14 collection mesmerized all at London Fashion Week with a Gothic romantic fairytale brought to life. With a runway revealing the fantasy of an evolving ethereal, mysterious and strong feminine form – the models quickly became objects of fascination. Beginning with wide brim hats, long lean capes and short hemlines, the clothes magically morphed into darker concoctions of lace and leather appliqués meshed with rich jewel tones. But as the show continued, hemlines grew longer and fabrics became softer with velvet and silk swamping the catwalk. As icy silver embellishments slowly appeared and the fabric disappeared among the shoulders, Schwab ended with long PVC transparent gowns to close the show. Leaving behind a broken fairytale spilled out for all those to see, Marios Schwab delivered a majestic collection for us all to temporarily experience.
