We discovered the young and hyper talented Spanish designer Manuel Bolano while involved in some deep research about the new faces of fashion. In 2007 he was awarded the Barcelona Bread & Butter Prize for the best collection of his own graduation class and since then has collected a hand full of prizes around Europe which have allowed him to launch his self-titled brand.
Bolano prides himself on the craft of his collections. After conceptualizing his collections he starts y choosing materials and threads that lead the way for modeling work. His designs are very elaborately detailed and finished, but he assures us that “this is not about doing haute couture, I still need to learn a lot to get there, but rather about a prêt à porter that I call prêt à couture.”
