The universe is ever-expanding in a synchronized movement. Comfortable in its skin, but doesn’t lack glory and elegance. This is the essence that Leitmotiv wanted to transmit through the Fall/Winter 2012 collection “L’ Universo Elegante”.
In the menswear collection, the element of comfort dominates but silk and leather are in the front line too. The galactic touch though, comes from the prints: on mainly black canvas, stellar patterns are combined with darker shades and baroque-like framings in the shape of shirts and bomber jackets.
Almost in the same mood, the womenswear collection was created only with a little bit more of a yesteryears hint. Leitmotiv want their woman to be casually surprising: a link between the earth and the stars, something that makes sense through the collection. From the prints to the lookbook itself, the garments manage to project a retro past to an almost psychedelic future. And the link in-between: the woman who gives a glimpse of this elegant glory that might be going on beyond our little planet.
