Written by Guest Blogger Madeline Rudin Inspired by Ukrainian painter Zinaida Lihacheva, Jean Pierre Braganza’s designs for S/S 2013 were strikingly bold, yet inherently feminine. Praised for his uniquely tailored garments and structured silhouettes, the Canadian born designer strayed slightly from his signature looks with the inclusion of wide sleeves and relaxed hems. Lihacheva’s influence was evident throughout, as Braganza’s patterns and angular cuts maintained obvious art deco elements. In colors of pale green and pink to bright orange and blue, each springy dress and formal tuxedo that came down the runway was sophisticated, sexy and sleek.
