Famed for her feminine design sensibility and voluminous silhouettes, Simone Rocha has teamed up with H&M to grace new audiences with her latest collection. For the first time, Rocha has designed for the whole family, trying her hand at menswear and children’s fashion, alongside her usual womenswear.
As in every Rocha collection, her signature silhouettes and dainty detailing are woven throughout this collaboration, which features tweed trenches, sheer blouses, uneven hemlines and beaded earrings. The feathers and glass beads that adorn Rocha’s womenswear appear in miniature across her children’s pieces, whilst her menswear debut adorns shirts and jogging bottoms with pearl detailing and floral motifs.
A tactile mix of organza, tweed, tulle and tartan, this collection is an ode to Ireland and Hong Kong, interweaving strands of family, intimacy and joy. Each piece is designed to be an expression of Rocha’s modern take on classic femininity, but also a new versatile layer in the wearer’s wardrobe. “I really hope there is something for everyone — every woman, every guy, the whole family,” she says.
“I hope that the items in this collection will be worn and treasured for years to come. They were all informed by ideas and inspirations that have shaped me and my brand over the last 10 years, and I am so excited to see them worn out-and-about and interpreted and styled in new ways.”
The Simone Rocha x H&M collection will be available at hm.com and in selected stores on March 11.
