Hermès F/W 2012

The collection by Christophe Lemaire for Hermes continues with the equestrian style that has been constant in the Fall/Winter Paris shows. Lemaire however takes it further,to the idea of travel and effortless luxury. Movement and fluidity run through the clothes as their flowing forms allow for an ease of movement; while exotic textures of fox and compact knit give the collection a pure and classic look of luxury. Lemaire’s collection encompasses a particular and serene idea of travel that stems from the core of the label. The style was simple and effortless, from masculine lapeled blazers to kimono coats that reached the runway. The color palette took on rustic and natural hues, consisting of amber, ivory, okra, ginger, and vermillion.
